Take a look at these three pictures of taking BASIC outdoors that tell more of the story I spoke about in my last blog post! God is good, he is active and he is at work in student's lives.
I love being a grandpa, dad, husband and being a part of the team at Orchard Hill Church. Linda and I have four grown children, three of whom are married and have wonderful spouses. Our oldest son is a happy bachelor. We have 10 grandchildren with Jackson Joel, our newest grandson, born on October 29, 2010.
My journey has included graduating from UNI, coaching football and wrestling at Ed-Co High School, starting a Youth for Christ/Campus Life ministry within four area high schools, and serving Orchard as its first Youth Director.
These days I am the senior leader of Orchard Hill Church and the Coordinator of Student Ministries at Nazareth Lutheran. I have served these two churches for almost 25 years.
Linda (my wife of 40 years!) and I enjoy spending time with our families, watching our grandchildren grow, and going to the mountains at least once each year. I run for fun 3 or 4 times each week.
Today my favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 4: 18, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
My passions are my family and growing healthy churches within the Cedar Valley and beyond. I deeply believe that it will take a good number of healthy growing churches to reach the Cedar Valley for Christ. Each congregation will have its own unique call from Christ.
